It comes with a LIFETIME warranty.
Is it expensive?
Approximately the same price as an “off the shelf” badge, making it much less than a typical full custom badge.
Will it come with my agency's name on it?
Absolutely! Your city or county’s name will appear where the image above reads “SHERIFF’S OFFICE”. Your name and rank will also appear on the badge as in the example above.
Further personalization is available by having your badge number, unit number or date sworn engraved on the back of the badge.
Is the anniversary celebration limited to the year 2009?
No, any Virginia Sheriff can authorize the badge for official use at any time. Several Virginia Sheriff's Offices have implemented participation in 2010.
How long can I wear my anniversary badge?
The badge must be authorized by your Sheriff for uniform wear. The duration of the celebration for your Sheriff's Office is also determined by your Sheriff. Some participating Sheriffs have authorized the badge for the uniform as long as they remain in office. Others have authorized it for one year, for example: July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010. Most Sheriffs have authorized the badge for off duty carry indefinitely after the anniversary period .
Do I have to wait long for my badge?
No! Typically about four weeks from the time your order is submitted.
Can badges be ordered after the anniversary celebration?
Yes, the order period for the 375th anniversary badge is indefinite.
